God Is Holding What You Cannot Control

Scripture: Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

You Don’t Have to Hold Everything Together

Sometimes God allows us to recognize the limits of our own strength—not because we’ve failed, but because He never intended for us to carry every burden alone.

You’re accustomed to being the person who figures things out, finds solutions, makes decisions, and ensures everybody else is okay.

But what happens when you’re facing something you cannot fix with a plan, a phone call, or sheer determination?

You remember whose hands are bigger than yours.

Notice what God says in Isaiah 41:10:

I am with thee.

I will strengthen thee.

I will help thee.

I will uphold thee.

Four promises. Not one of them requires you to have all the answers.

And here’s something beautiful: trusting God doesn’t mean doing nothing. Sometimes faith looks like making the appointment, asking the hard questions, accepting help, and allowing yourself to rest while others do their part.

You can be faithful without being in control.

Three Things to Remember Today

1. God’s presence is not dependent on your circumstances. He is present even when life feels uncertain.

2. You are allowed to receive the care you so freely give. Being strong doesn’t mean being unsupported.

3. Peace doesn’t require every problem to be resolved. You can experience God’s peace while you’re still walking through the process.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help.

Lord, You know the things weighing on my heart, even those I haven’t spoken aloud. You know my concerns for my family, the responsibilities before me, and the questions I cannot yet answer.

Today, I surrender what I cannot control.

Give me wisdom to know what requires my attention and discernment to recognize what I need to place in Your hands.

Cover my family with Your love. Guide the professionals and loved ones who are helping us. Bring healing where there is pain, clarity where there is confusion, and peace where there is fear.

And Father, remind me that I am Your daughter before I am anybody else’s caretaker.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Faith Declaration

“I will do what God has placed in my hands, and I will trust Him with what is beyond my control.”

Today’s Reflection Question

What am I carrying today that God is asking me to stop carrying alone?

Jackie, here’s your assignment for tonight: Find ten quiet minutes that belong to nobody but you and God. No planning, no fixing, no organizing. Just prayer, stillness, and listening.

Listen. Discern. Obey.

And remember, sis: Being held by God is just as important as being used by God.
